Comcast is reportedly planning to use Wi-Fi hot spots to power voice and data service on mobile phones, with help from some leased space on cellular networks. Comcast previously abandoned plans to launch a mobile service on cellular airwaves, having sold wireless spectrum to Verizon Wireless and other cable companies in 2012, but now it seems the company is reversing back to similar ambitions. Together, the combined company would control about one-third of the U.S. broadband market. Read more -here-
